Title Receptionist
Job Information The Bond Hotel is looking to fill 2 positions for the above position. We have a full time and a part time position available. Full time hours will be 40 hours working 5 days out of 7. Part time hours will be 24 working 4 days out of 7. Overtime time is available during staff holidays and covering other areas within the business.

Objective
Reporting to the General Manager, the Receptionist is the first person that a guest meets on arrival to the Hotel, therefore it is of utmost importance that all staff present a friendly and professional image to our guests at all times.

Key Duties
• Greet and welcome our guests to the Hotel.
• Check guests in on arrivals and show the guests to their rooms.
• Answer any queries the guest may have on in house facilities and tourist information.
• Update guest information on the booking system.
• Log any maintenance issues on the system.
• Serve on the bar during the day and taking and serve any lunch orders.
• Keeping the reception and lounge area tidy at all times.
• Taking deliveries from suppliers.
• Taking bookings from in house guests or over the phone.

Our duty managers also take responsibility for either our housekeeping team or our restaurant team.

The ideal Receptionist will have:
• Previous experience in a Reception or Front Office position is ideal, but those with a strong administration background will also be considered.
• Polite and professional verbal and written communication skills and a good telephone manner.
• Good IT skills and a competent user of Microsoft Office.
• A high standard of personal presentation.
• Previous exposure on Protel or other booking platform would be advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with confident and compassionate when dealing with complaints.
• A calm and well organised approach to often competing work priorities with good attention to detail.
• Confidence to take payments.
