Accessible holiday accommodation for disabled guests

Here at The Bond Hotel we provide specialist accommodation, transportation and equipment for the disabled visitor. We are committed to raising the general public’s awareness of the difficulties faced on a day-to-day basis. We tirelessly campaign throughout the country in order to raise funds and highlight our mission, which is to provide affordable, comfortable, quality holidays for people living with disability. So that they can feel safe in the knowledge that their every need will be catered for.

At The Bond Hotel, we strive to offer the best possible facilities for our disabled guests.

Pre-arrival

  • www.bondholidays.co.uk will provide you with information regarding your destination and resort, along with the range of facilities and amenities.
  • Our highly trained team of staff can arrange any special requirements prior to your arrival including essential equipment, travel arrangements or detailed information, please call our reservation office for more information on 01253 341218.
  • Our pick up and return coach service can be arranged via our reservations team. The coaches are fully accessible and are operated by a team of highly trained drivers who are trained in the use of specialist equipment. Each of the buses is fitted with state of the art GPS and satellite navigation systems, hydraulic lifts and are capable of carrying passengers who are unable to transfer to coach seats securely and safely.
  • Car parking is available within 50 metres of the hotel reception and is accessed via a flat walk way with no steps. There is also a drop off point immediately outside the hotel entrance with flat level access.
  • Blackpool North railway station is located 2.4 Miles from The Bond Hotel, Blackpool. Taxis are available outside the main entrance to the train station or transport can be arranged via our sales team.

Arrival

  • There is flat access into the hotel via our car park and drop off point

Reception and Main Entrance

  • The hotel is accessed via a flat level automated door entrance
  • Staff are able to assist upon arrival
  • An accessible toilet is available at reception
  • An induction loop system is installed at reception

  • Lift to all floors in main building, note access to rooms on the upper floors in the Annex is via stairs
  • Low level reception desk

Bars and Public areas

  • All public areas are accessible
  • The bar is fully licensed
  • Special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request
  • Evening entertainment takes place every evening of your holiday
  • Garden and patio area accessible
  • All doors and corridors are widened for wheelchair use

Bedrooms

  • Bedrooms are available on the ground floor
  • All bedrooms are fitted with colour TV’s with Subtitle option
  • Additional equipment can be pre arranged at reception prior to your arrival
  • Bedroom furniture can be re-arranged at request
  • Adjoining room for carers available
  • Ceiling hoists and mobile hoists available
  • Space for portable hoists under bed

Bathrooms

  • Toilet seat raiser available
  • Level entry showers in all rooms
  • Seating available in shower
  • All baths have handrails
  • Lever handles in all bathrooms

Additional Information

  • Scooter hire available at reception
  • Emergency evacuation in place for safe exit of disabled guests
